Mangas and animes are very popular in Japan. I remember the favorite in my childhood was Berusaiyu no Bara, translated to english "The rose of Versailles". I remember it was the first time I saw a very dramatic scene I haven't seen before. I couldn't help the tears rolling down my cheek.
