Alphonsine Storni

 Everybody knows the sad ending of the argentinian poet Alphonsine Storni. Unlike the song, Alphonsine threw herself from a cliff to end her suffering life with cancer. 

I remember the first time I heard this song, it was on those days when I used to study piano. Waltzes were the favorite and easy musical pieces for piano recitals while "Alphonsine and the sea" was the musical piece for guitar students. Nice times!

Alfonsina y el Mar - Alphonsine and the sea

 I made a 9 pages comic inspired by the popular Argentinian zamba "Alphonsine and the sea".  The first time I heard it, I was a teenager and someone was  playing it. The music composed by Ariel Ramirez and lyrics by Felix Luna. The song narrates what it might be the last moments of the writer Alphonsine Storni.

Modern flapper

 This is other style of painting, this one is easier. Just filling with the bucket tool everywhere.

I didn't correct the mistake in the fingers, it was just another painted sketch.

I noticed that I draw and draw....but I don't post. I usually trash them or file them. Well, I was scanning many the other day, it took me an hour....how I hate to scan!

Mermaid

I live by the beach and it gives me many stories. Last year I wrote a short one which I will print for Fanzine Fest this year.
Here is one of those inspirations turned into clay picture. It's my first time I worked with air dry modelling clay and it was really relaxing. Next time I'll do it much better for sure.
I also posted a song about a mermaid in napolitan italian language.
